Partner Spotlight: Palworld Trainer

Palworld has taken the gaming world by storm since its release in January. The game boasts something for every gamer by including farming, creature collection, combat and exploration. The latest update has sent a surge of new players into the Palpagos Islands, and has sent users looking for online resources to help their hunt for Pals.

Palworld Trainer is the perfect partner for Palworld players. By offering a Pal encyclopaedia, an interactive map of the Islands, and a breeding calculator, players can count Palworld Trainer among the premiere companion sites for Palworld gameplay.

The best bit? It’s created by the minds behind Unite-Db, a name you may recognize from Partner Spotlights past. We brought the creators back to dive into what brought Palworld Trainer to life.

What drove you to create your website? Did you see a gap in the market for this type of website?

“PalworldTrainer was built off of our previous framework “shells” so it didn’t take very much time to get the site to where we needed it. We really didn’t approach it any differently than our other sites, but we’ve learned a lot from our other sites which helped us build more efficiently.

“Our specialized areas of focus allow us to quickly put up content. Between a dataminer who has all of the tools ready for automation and a UI/UX/frontend dev who has already built a framework shell for use on future sites, it only took us 12 hours and we had our initial site live.”

What’s your favorite aspect of Palworld and how has that reflected in the site?

“The game developers did exactly what Pokémon fans have been asking for, for a very long time. We used our experience to create a helpful resource and added features onto the site that our audience had asked for.”

How has your audience impacted your experience as a site owner/gamer?

“Our audience drives the content and tools we add to our sites. When there’s suggestions from our audience on what to add to a site that would benefit the user, we do our best to add it as soon as possible.”

What’s one of your favourite aspects of managing your website?

“We do this full-time and working for ourselves makes it feel less like an actual job and more of a passionate hobby.”

Do you have any advice for website owners who are just starting out?

“Don’t be afraid. Don’t be afraid to fail. Don’t be afraid to reach out to other creators/owners. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Push boundaries, learn from others, and learn from your mistakes.”
